The future looks bright indeed for our independent, family owned and operated glass company. Where We Go From Hereįrom just 3 of us in 1982 to over 15 quality people today, we have a combined experience level exceeding 250 years. Having potential 4th generation glass family members in the business means we can keep serving customers for years. Vicki’s, Michael’s, and David’s children have also all helped the business either through summers or weekly maintenance positions. She is responsible for maintaining our relationships with our many valued friends and clients. Vicki formally joined in 1996 when a new outside sales position became available. He was hired as our 3rd generation Glass Man. His children, David and Vicki, joined on too.ĭavid worked summers through high school and college and went full-time in 1992. ![]() We purchased the Vikingglass Station and hired Michael Zelle, our owner’s son-in-law, to help run the family business. In 1991, we expanded, with more business and more family. Because of all the great friends and clients we have formed over the years, The Glass Station flourished. We opened on December 1, 1982, with Toby, just 2 technicians, and his wife, Linda, who was acting as outside sales force for a time. He realized then that A Glass Station must become a reality. During that time, most of his ideas and goals were lost or ignored in corporate red tape. ![]() That's when Toby our Founder became the manager and served in that role for 11 years. In 1970, an offer was made that he couldn’t refuse and the business was sold to a national glass chain. They quickly became the premier glass shop in town. Anthony “Tony” Rinaldi, started our glass company in North Canton, OH, in 1957 as Ace Glass & Mirror. Viking Glass Station was founded in 1982, although our roots go much deeper. ![]()
